    Male or female?

Thanks for the replies. Good news. Yes I think they all had the same mother (a white silkie) but the others were fathered by a bantam cross. Beautiful mixed bird

    Male or female?

Really? Wow. That's good news. Thanks for the reply. Btw, how can you tell they are silkie crosses? (which I think they are based on the vague story I got when I got the eggs)

    Male or female?

Can anyone sex these? I'm a bit of a novice at this. The reddish looking bantam is about 20 weeks and the silkie and grey one both about 18. No crowing or eggs yet. Thanks.

My first chick. What is it?

No Seramas that I knew of. I guess a lot of eggs could look like silkie eggs

My first chick. What is it?

Kind of a creamy colour. Looked the same as one of my silkie eggs.

My first chick. What is it?

Ah! Thanks for enlightening me! I had never noticed that silkies had 5 toes. Feeling a bit ignorant now :) Anyway, no. it doesn't. I think it MUST be a welsummer then. Thanks.

My first chick. What is it?

They are breeders and have a lot of different breeds. I asked for ( and thought I had ) silkie eggs

My first chick. What is it?

Thanks. We thought that too because we have a welsummer. The egg was the size of our silkies' eggs though..and much smaller than the welsummer eggs.

My first chick. What is it?

I was given a couple of fertile eggs (silkie-size eggs) and was a bit surprised one actually hatched. Does anyone know what this is? Sorry the photos are not great
