I tried to reply via iPhone but doesn't look like it worked! Anyways, I wanted to thank both of you ladies for taking time to reply and advise me of my situation. I really appreciate it.
How should I dispose of these eggs? I'm a little curious as to if there was any sort of development if they...
I haven't tried candling the eggs yet but when I slighlty jiggled the eggs (2) today it felt lock a rock was inside it. According to my records these eggs would have hatched on the 4th of August. Could they be dead inside? Should I leave them for a little while longer under her? Please help.
I adopted imprinted Goslings that are to date 4 weeks old and WH ducklings that are around 6 weeks old AND holy moly the Poo they create! I promised my DH that they would be unforseen fowl in our backyard. Yet every 2 feet I find piles of Goose poo! Please help me report that it's "good" poo!
I adopted imprinted goslings at 5 days old and found I could only be with them a few hours out of the day. They are now 4 weeks old and still a little needy but way more independent. They come to me when I call them but no longer want to be held, which is ok with me since they are huge now! Yet...
First time duck owner/lover. My ducklings are some kind of Khaki/Swed cross/mutt, I really don't know.
But I adopted 2 babies at 5 days old and as of today they are 7 days old and they are still scared to death of me. I read that ducks imprint like dogs and will follow humans around and that is...
Thanks for all the great help! I was able to get it off that night with a combo of rubbing alcohol and waterproof eye make-up remover. My plan was to take a pic that night while he was sleeping but the last ditch effort worked. He marched in the parade just fine.
HOWEVER, on the 5th of July he...
I will try the toothpaste (Mentadent) and then the baking soda paste. Thanks.
Flakey chick, I just thought of the same thing, maybe I can paint a flag over his face!!! Also, the float he will be on is for his hockey team, so I could always make him wear his hockey helmet!!!! Lol!!!
I'm sure my child isn't the only to do this (but then again it wouldn't surprise me) but he really did a # on his face. I mean circled his eyes, scribbled on his cheeks, chin, forehead. He almost looks like a dartboard w/ all the circles he made!
Anyways, he's supposed to be in a 4th of July...
I often go to the Allrecipes website for new ideas. I found a great recipe for Korean BBQ, it's called Bulgogi and rather easy to make and my boys love the taste and flavor.
I just posted a thread the other day about my roo suddenly dying and my flock having a lot of watery droppings, possibly diarrhea.
I just realized that I gave my flock all my round red tomatoes (about 4) just because I got turned off by the tomatoe recall announcement. At the time, the warning...
I actually did think about cutting it open. But when that stuff oozed out I got really grossed out.
Funny Carrie! Holden was trying to open it's eyes after he found out it was dead. I made him wash up!
Thanks for the help augiedranch.
Thanks for the reply Sammi.
The answer is no to all your questions. I am also concerned about the diarrhea problem. What are the signs and symptoms of cocci? Is it treatable? I better start researching.
I forgot to mention that when I moved the dead roo a lot of pus-like ooze came out of his...
I did notice that some of the girls have very, very watery diarhhea. I've looked up past threads for this and I have just now given them plain yogurt to eat.
I've also added a huge layer of dirt/sand for their run to cover up any traces of old feces to prevent contamination.
Is there anything...
Thanks all.
I was starting to feel really badly, especially since my teen boys are teasing me saying I killed the roo.
The comb was bright red until yesterday then it appeared dull and pale.
This may sound weird, but should I freeze the body until I convince my dh to get a necroscopy?
He...
