    Are they second generation SBELS? is the father a leghorn? if you want to get bluer eggs it doesn't matter which breed you choose as long as they lay the darkest blue

    that looks like a really nice coop. theres no exact number, i have a 4x8 coop and last time i looked in there it had 15 chickens. mine only stay inside at night and they like to flock together.

    sounds like he has an upper respiratory infection. that's how they lose their eyes. I wouldn't worry about the bite, i work at a cat shelter and most of the staff gets bitten by accident every now and then.     mine have started. it depends on the temperatures, so yours may start a little later. they also have to be at least 1 year old
