wow. I was in the pen giving them some mealworms and one of mine (I think one of the two who just started laying) did the chicken dance for me. I thought she was scared so I picked her up and petted her. I didn't realize I was making love to her....
not only do i not think ACV would corrode the metal, when i googlize it i find that ACV is a corrosion cleaner! besides, we are talking about a pretty diluted quantity.
thanks for the kind words!
mine took to it right away, but I did have to remove their other water source first. if you want to see how to make a good nofuss waterer, I am very happy with the one I have built:
mine seem to like Spanish moss too. I have been raking in the oak tree leaves for them to search thru and I see them picking thru the moss. don't know if its bad or good but I know they love it so. take it away, marie!

i am done folks. finished the run this weekend. here is a short...I promise...final video showing the complete coop and run. I am very happy with it and the girls seem to be too. as always, feel free to criticize, comment or question. it was because of good info on this thread that I made some...

I don't mean to literally hose out the coop ever. I wanted to be able to rake the contents out into the wheel barrow. and I want the ability to use a water if I need...
