I know this is an old post, but rice is fine for chickens. Don’t believe the hype about not feeding uncooked rice. All of the grains we feed our chickens are uncooked, why would rice be any different?
Thanks again!
Yes, I asked for NPIP because Hawaii law says that you can’t get a permit to ship here unless you are NPIP.
I know there are none in Hawaii.
I have been contacting hatcheries all over who have ACs, and so far none, that’s why I posted this here in case someone might know of one...
I tried checking it out.
I’m looking for someone who can ship Ayam Cemani to Hawaii. There are none here in Hawaii. So the link you sent me isn’t very useful and is actually very confusing.
I’m trying to locate a hatchery that is already permitted to ship to Hawaii that has this type of chicken...
hi, I hope this is allowed here, I have a hard time navigating this site, so I didn’t know where to post this!
I am trying to find an Ayam Cemani breeder who is NPIP and has a permit to ship to Hawaii.
I can be reached through Facebook under CJ Quitoriano if anyone has a lead.
Thanks!!
My chickens seem to have some weird outbreak! I thought at first it might have been something I fed them, because it looked like the had something neurological. The symptoms were that they started getting lethargic, and then their head twisted upside down.
I started frantically checking the food...
The chicken is an Americana hybrid. His feet have feathers on them, and recently the feathers have begun to grow badly and his feet are staring to bleed. I hadn't noticed his feet because my husband takes care of them. But today I saw him limping and when I picked him up his feet were pretty bad.
I know I something here about scaly mites, but my roosters feet don't appear to have mites. He has hard ridges on his toes and his nails are getting long and deformed. His feet are scaly and flaky, but it's all white and scaly, not brown like mites. Any ideas?
