3 sides are closed off in the coop. The front is fenced with the door. I'm thinking just to put some plastic over the fencing in the front only in the evening and removing it during the day.

Yes this info helps alot. Thank you. I have a huge area of fenced 350' and then a separate 50' area so I have no problem with separation. I had even had to do this when I brought my rooster home. My leghorns made him fly the coop sort of speak lol
