    Actually I would be thrilled with all girls! I can sell the extra girlies for twice as much as any boys ;-) we have a small backyard flock so we are only planning in keeping two girls for laying and to watch chicken TV in our backyard :-)

    Beetle Black roo over chocolate hens I believe. When I picked up eggs she showed me offspring from this trio, both cockerels and pullets were mixed chocolate and beetle black. It may not be visible in my pics but the three blacks I have have the most vibrant iridescent feathers with green purple...

    It It sure does! Looks like a pea comb to me. Along with the willow legs and feathering I'd bet good money on easter eggers :-)

    It looks like they have the right leg color but what comb type do they have, I can't tell from the pics... Knowing that would help a lot :-)

    Thx :-) I agree that they are either boys or girls as they look nearly identical :-) Most roos I have of other breeds at 11 weeks are 2-3 times as big and have obvious red comb and wattles, which is why I am so unsure of these Chooks. i am leaning boy but I would love if they were all girls !!!

    Sorry to say but it appears you have quite a few Roos as of right now. I think maybe chick 2 could be a pullet. I think you should give it another week or two and post close ups of their combs :-) Stephanke

    So I ended up being right first off... 4 cockerels and 1 pullet :-( From the first post, chicks 1,3,4,5 were cockerels and chick 2 was my only pullet. Glad you got more than one pullet lol 2/2 is waaaay better than my 1/4 lol

    I figured it would probably cost about $175 to cover the entire left side of the coup and run which is 6' high and 8' long.

    Has anyone used this or something similar? I am thinking about lining the left side of our coup and run to reduce some of the noise going toward our neighbors house. It would also work well for needed shade along that side. It's also paintable. I got a quote from them at $22 per linear...
