So we decided on getting a Blue tick hounddog.
I’m hoping to get them acquainted so she don’t kill all of them.
I’ll setting for not standing at the pen barking at them all day. Thoughts?
My chicks are growing and acting like chickens. They all look very healthy and seem to all hold their own,
My question is what should I be looking out for health wise? I started fermenting my feed when they were a couple weeks old.
They love the stuff. Any help would be appreciated.
I bought Ameraucana chicks. This one is a bit different. Tail is very short compared to the rest.
She is the smaller chick on the left in these photos.
My 9 little raptor looking things have been in their 16x8 run now for 3 days. Today I managed to get them all in the coop without having to chase them down. Glory
I used fermented food to lure them in.
They are starting to get comfortable in the run.
Getting use to me a bit more.
Pick up 12 Ameraucana chicks today froTSC.
Not my first choice but I’m tired of waiting.
Three had vent issues so I cleaned them up and checked the others.👍
Threw in a bit of lettuce just to see if they liked it. A few picked at it.
Let the adventure begin.
I ran electrical to my new coop finally. Light, outlets on /off switc.
I should have chicks in a couple of weeks. 10-12 mixed black Orpington and Plymouth barred rock is what I’m thinking. Thoughts?
I've been drawing coops for a couple of years. Haven't started one yet. Leaning towards a walk in coop with plenty of room for future. I plan to start with 6-8 hens. Georgia
