    So last year for the first time we decided to hatch some blue Pekins. The mother was fine but after a first few days began trodding on her chicks which killed them. To me it seemed like clumsiness "watch where your putting your feet" but is there another explanation? Are they not good mothers...

    What animal would you be? I would be one of those frogs that can fly and swim! Simply because they have the best of both worlds. Predators may be a problem though hmmmm

    MIDNIGHT - ONE OF A KIND

    That is my chicken called midnight. Aged 1 and 3/4 years old midnight is a cross between a silkie, Rhode Island and maran. You have probably never heard of such a cross which makes her so special. She has a sleek body but a fluffy head. Being quite small compared to the rest of the hybrids...
