I think its to early to tell with the Silkie, just from my experience. Forever I thought my black silkie was a girl until she started crowing! Now he is all boy acting and looking but it took a while.

OK so I'm wondering if any of you are able to kill and eat your birds? I want to be able to do so, but I don't know that I can. I dont know that I would have what it takes to know they would die eventually. Anyone else have this problem?

The bird in the second picture, Jasper, is a Belt Jungle Fowl whatever that is... its my baby, so is the large black one in the first picture... both is supposed to be the same kind of bird. My babies are 22 days old and they scratch themselves alot. Is that normal or should I worry about them having mites or something? They also spread their feathers (what feathers they have) any nibble on them. How would I know if its normal behavior or some sort of bug?
