    Just found out about sexting by feathers. I hatched three chicks, two yesterday one today. The one from today isn't old enough/ dry enough But here are the others. So far one pullet one cockerel, see if yall agree or have input. I know it isn't 100% and I will find out as weeks go on

    Never had the issue, I get get mine from the beach and its a 1 mile drive and I get it from the back where trees grow so we have all kinds of bugs, crabs and sticks in it. They go crazy.

    $14 for organic feed? wow! that is less than half! yes, i also sell for to co workers etc. but HI is so much less strict about selling eggs etc.

    I started selling my eggs this week, the ones that I usually just give away. I feed organic layer pellets and have 6 hens (3 pullets who still eat starter feed) I use one 50 lbs bag a month which has costs me $35 and I get about 5 eggs a day sometimes less sometimes 6 ... So 150 eggs a month...

    Wasted space?

    My birds mostly free range. So we have a small coop and run is about 3 ft high. I added more, need a bigger coop so this time my husband is building it. The run is huge! And it is about 6-612 ft tall. Which will allow cleaning easily but now I feel the height is almost wasted space. Do y'all...

    Oh my, we don't have AC and it is in the mid 80s. I was out all morning and came home, omg! Tiny island home w chicks in it. I turned the light off, cleaned the cage (as I do daily) and took it outside. They can come inside at night. Where do you keep yours? Mine aren't even 2 weeks old.almost.
