Happy Birthday GAM!

Couldn't understand why we were having such a bad egg count this week...Then I realized that I forgot to change the time on my coop light timer!

10 of 12 hatched on Halloween! 2- BO/EE, 1- GLW/light brahma, 1- GLW/buff Brahma, 6- GLW We are so excited! Both little surrogate mommies are doing great together with the babies!

Congrats! Tomorrow is day 20 for the 12 eggs under my broodies. We can't wait!

I don't use batting either but I do put some grit in the bottom of my grow baskets to help prevent roots from blocking up my drain holes. Then they get a little grit with each serving throughout the day! (I don't give mine the whole tray at a time because they waste some scratching it around)
