Aha, yes! That sounds about right. I wasn't far off the mark then when I said he had a mallard head and bibbed body! I'm really interested to see what the six ducklings turn out like. Not sure which of the drakes is the father - guess it could be either or both!

The one in the foreground of the first pic is one of my apricot girls. I think the lighter drake is also apricot (maybe apricot is called butterscotch in America?). The one I'm really baffled by is my darker colored male.

Can anyone help please? The grey headed one is, I think, an apricot, but I'm not sure about the other one. I have scoured the web for photos but can't find any like him. He has the green irridescent head of a mallard, but other than than he looks more like a bibbed.

These are my six call ducklings that I hatched three weeks ago . Despite our cats knocking the incubator on the floor twice, and the fact it was my first attempt at hatching, they all survived! Who said calls are hard to hatch????!

Thanks Kelsie - I put them back in wrapped in damp kitchen towel ans amazingly they all hatched! We now have six gorgeous fluffy ducklings and are thrilled to bits :D.

In case anyone saw this and is interested in the outcome - they all hatched today! They seem to be doing fine, snuggling together in the incubator. I couldn't be happier. :)
