So I candled...one actually pipped.
Looks like shrink wrapped. Humidity too low!!
One other internal pipped,
Another still moving
I'm pretty sure I lost the others
This is my first hatch w a turner.
When handling, the blood vessels look different. They are present, so I think they are ok.
Advice, what else is different w a turner?
Hi all!! I' on day 23, lockdown day 20. I don' see any pipping. Heat looks good, humidity a lil low so added water.
I'm really wanting to candle. Advice?
Humidity is between 60 and 65%, temp 99.5. I have made safe holes for all and they seem to be doing OK. They do seem to be taking a longer time to hatch this way, but they are still alive.
I have a different type in there now, but I am not doing something right. I have lost more than are making it. I think the humdity is too low. they are alive right up to the due date, then when they should be internally pipping, they die. the membrane is white, and dry but doesn't look like it...
Well, I hate to report the twin egg didn't make it. There was
2 fully developed ducklings, but no internal pip and they died :( hope others have better luck.
