    Well, I think it's just the fact that it's a completely different feed, and it's bigger. They probobly get full faster. Plus, you let them free range, so they probobly eat tons of other stuff to. As long as they are eating the food, I think they're ok.

    Hi, One of my chickens, a red sex link, is about to start laying eggs. I've done some research, and it looks like these chickens can develop alot health issues, such as internal laying. I was wondering if anyone could give me some more information about this bird. Thanks!

    Keep feeding her honey water, and add a little sugar to make it a bit stronger. She may be suffering from shiping stress. Get some save a chick electrolytes, or whatever brand you want, and mix it in with the water. Then, I would try to get some yogurt and feed it to her through an eye dropper.

    Hmm, I think your hen is fine. I think she is just trying to find the right place to lay her egg, so other hens won't get to it. As far as all of the noise she is making, chickens like to anounce when they try to lay eggs. It's called the egg song. Keep offering her calcium and such and I think...

    Well, the only breed I know of that has green legs is an aurcana. I have never actually seen it before. Wierd, but cool.

    True, my hens puff up after I touch them. Do they puff up in the nesting box if they're broody and you try to touch them? I remember reading that somewhere.
