    I'm new to this & can't find a thread. When should I be looking for signs of egg laying to begin? What age? & when should my roosters begin making noises?

    We didn't put up interior walls. I wish we had bc I have to spend the extra time getting the poo & shavings out of all the nooks & crannies. I do like that we used linoleum flooring, that makes it easier & quicker for me to clean.

    A little help with my coop please

    I bought clearance linoleum from lowes, like you said it makes for an easy clean. I use wood shavings from tractor supply & it works good for me. I heard wood pellets are better, but I haven't tried or priced it.

    I had six that are the bottom 2 pics that they said were supposed to be hens. The top two are 3 of each ones, and were a gamble of what sex.

    The top two came from the same bin that was labeled "featured breed" & straight run. The bottom 2 were just red pullets & she said they could be Rhode Island Reds & a few others, but I forgot. (From Tractor Supply). Two of the cream ones have big red things like that too.
