I get 1 egg a day between the five chickens. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. I look in the yard, and definitely check around the tree that they lounge around. Nothing seems to be coming up anywhere. I just can't figure out why they just lay under that tree all day long.

The floor if mt coop is just dirt, and with some heavy rains that we've had lately, its become very muddy and smells like a zoo... is there anything is can do such as mulch or hay or anything that could help with this situation?

I bought this chicken as a baby, having been told it was a hen... now I'm not so sure. I'm new to this and I think it might be a black sexlink, but any knowledge on the type and the gender would be very helpful. [/IMG]
