We got sweet sweet Broccoli here from a man last winter who received her from another family. She is roughly a year or two old. We are not sure of her breed, she is certainly unique!
I thought she may have been an Aloha chicken (https://www.backyardchickens.com/reviews/aloha-chickens.11541/)...
Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this. But I am really curious about a particular chick in our flock
All hatched on Boxing day, so quite a few months ago.
While some are growing quite a bit, we have a little one named Mary who is noticeably smaller than the rest, she's been smaller than the rest...
Our babies were hatched on boxing day, so they are atleast 3 months old now. Any help sexing would be appreciated
Our Stroganoff, we have guessed rooster since he and our other rooster got into a little scuffle
2 that we haven't named yet
Little mary, shes very small compared to the...
Update:
We managed to find the chicks's hatchery. The person said that the two older chicks are olive eggers, but I agree that they are mixed with silkies.
As I was looking at the list of breeds they have:
Salmon Faverolles
Sizzles
Blue/Black Copper Marans
Olive Eggers
Leghorn/Barred Plymouth...
We don't exactly have a means to contact them right now, and they don't know a whole lot about chickens and breeds.
They did have a silkie rooster from what I've heard, so thats quite possible
This is our little rooster Gary. He has an easter egger friend named larry. They look very identical, except gary's slightly different shape and lack of beard. His friend was already identified here as an Easter Egger a while back, but I didn't get the chance to post this sweet lil' guy. I...
heres the story:
My boyfriend went for a trip to pick up a couple polish hens from a family friend, and one of his neighbors gave us "Easter Egger Eggs"
A couple of them were a pale olive color and the rest were a very light blue color. Which seemed Easter/Olive egger enough to us.
The chicks...
Thanks for the help everyone, I got some new pics of Mickey along with Minnie who we also recieved from the same person. They look like they will be some pretty chickies
I don't think he was purebred, but I was told that they seen a Silkie rooster in the flock that Mickey came from.
I was wondering if there was any other extra toe'd chickies but I couldn't find any info on other types.
Thats what I assume from the feathered feet and extra toes. But this lil cutie has 1 deformed toe. Not sure what to make of it. Is it part of that bad gene in silkies? We got him from some friends quite a distance away
Three of our chicks who are now 2 months old. Any idea of gender? even breeds (although we may already know them)
This is maple
Chocolate, whom we are pretty sure is a rooster
And Aphrodite
So we've got another chicken from a neighbor yesterday who just assumed it was a rooster because of the "long tail" (She doesn't know very much about chickens :( )
We've owned a polish hen before that looked the exact same, but we just wanted to double check with you all :)
