So, finally at 16 weeks and one of my Tetra Tints has started laying....double yolks! Oddly, my rooster makes an odd, nervous clucking sound, non-stop while she is laying. He only stops when she leaves the egg and comes out if the coop. Anyone know what that's all about?
This bird has had a red comb for several weeks. She is the only one with such a large comb, but she is still, and always has been, just a tad smaller than the rest.
I'm having similar issues. I'm new to chickens, and these last few days I've had an on and off stomach bug. Cramps, bloating and a constant feeling of "needing to go". I'm wondering if it's from constant contact with my chickens.

Anyone know how long I should leave him in the run before allowing him out with the pullets? He doesn't seem interested in them, and the seem to avoid him. I just want them to return to the coop together. Where my hens aren't mature, I don't think he is "drawn" to them.
