She started eating and drinking not too long after that post. In the next week I saw her roosting with the flock and following everyone in interest. She is still a little smaller than the rest, but she is definitely growing. I guess she was behind. She is a different color than most of the...
Oh I would never give up on any of my little ones :] I'm really glad yours got well so quickly. Mine just ate and drank for ten minutes straight, so I'm not sure what brought that on but I need to keep watching her. She also sneezed a few times. Aye aye aye!
She just ate and drank for a solid 10 minutes. She also stopped the constant little pipping. I'm confused. I haven't done any intervention but added ACV to their water earlier today. Is she just slow? Guess I'll have to keep watching!
I have an 11 day old chick who seems sick. Her feathers look fine but she's not acting like the rest. Could someone reply as to whether they think it is. I have no experience, this is my first flock. Shes not eating or drinking very much (though she does a little of both when the others don't...
I have an 11 day old chick who has similar symptoms. Could someone reply as to whether they think it is. I have no experience, this is my first flock. Shes not eating or drinking very much (though she does a little of both when the others don't push her around). They're not mean to her, mind...
I'll have at least one extra in a few months. I have a feeling I picked out at least two or three from this straight run. I'll be posting when it becomes clear how many I have, and I'll be looking to sell the extras.
Cool, I learned something new :]. I got them in Lughoff. I've read good things about this breed, so I'm hoping they'll be good to me for my first time around.
I have 15 Rhode Island Reds. They're 11 days old. Nice to know there's someone out there a little closer to me. What are olive eggers? Does that refer to the color of the eggs?
I'm in gaffney! Had to travel over two hours away to get my chicks, because tractor supply is done for the season and apparently No One around here has em!!! Im hoping that means there's a market for it. Maybe I'll wrangle a friend into it :)
They're here! Scratching the ground, getting pine shavings everywhere, eating, cuddling, sleeping for 30 seconds at a time, getting on each other's nerve. Loving it :]
