    HELP!!!! Dog attack (RIP, Ivan)

If you use silvadine cream Make sure that any woman in child bearing age does NOT touch it....if there is any possability of pregnancy just touching it to apply to the poor rooster could cause damage to the fetus. Make sure you use gloves when you apply it and clean up the gauzes and such!

    Egg: Brown with Blue Specks

I sometimes get eggs from my RIR that look like they have some purplish specks on them....Or even sometimes some white specks...I just figured it had to do with how much calcium she had.....I have 2 EE's but they both lay a lighter almost pinkish egg.

unless they are meat birds you leave the food all the time....with meat birds after they are a certain age you leave it 12 in 12 out (or atleast that is what I have read)

How old are the chicks...My six week old chicks picked it up no problem but I have heard some people will put treats down it so they walk down it to get the treats....Mine some times pass it altogether and just fly up to the top of there's.

    small bugs

Possibly a stupid question but had the birds just been outside when you saw the bug...any chance it was just a normal outside bug that had hopped up on your chick.....I might do a better inspection to make sure the chicks really have bugs on them and it wasn't just a coincidence.....
