    My ladies are eating my plants!!

    I used to have a ton of beautiful hostas in my back yard, now they are chicken feed! Can anyone suggest some perrenials that my ladies might not like to munch on?? I live in New England so the plans have to be able to withstand winters... Thanks!!

    Chickens and snow...

    I live in northern Connecticut and we have about 8-10 inches of snow. Can I let my ladies out? I have 8 rhodie reds and 1 rock hen. I have read that they can get frostbite easily.

    Rooster or hen?

    We have a beautiful Plymouth Rock chicken but are not sure if it is a hen or rooster since we have never heard him/her crow. This chicken is quite large with sort of billowy tail feathers and large comb. I don't have a pic but if someone needs one to held i.d. him or her, I will post it. Thanks...
