See the egg in the pic that was partially unzipped? I ended up having to assist the hatch. It stayed just like that for 8 hours. It was so nerve wracking! The little guy appears to be fine though.
Now I'm worried about the other two...I opening the incubator a dozen times yesterday to help that...
It's a black australorp. I have 2 more in there and a coronation Sussex.
The two BAs are doin something for sure, but the CS is just sitting there so far.
Any tips for chicks on FF? My babies are a week old, and I give them some every day, but they trample it until it's like concrete. I always end up scraping it up to break it apart and adding some dry chick starter to keep everything crumbly.
My FF tends toward the dry side anyway.
