I'm looking for exceptional lines of Sumatras and Red Jungle Fowl.
I currently have a small flock of the San Diego zoo Red Jungle Fowl line, and I am curious of anyone that has this line or any other one.
As for Sumatras, I'm most interested in Black but I'm looking around for all colors...
I have three purebred, high quality Ameraucana Roosters. Unlike the Easter Egger, this line of birds is the real mcCoy and lay vivid, blue eggs consistently. The gentleman who sold me these chicks advertised them as show quality as the line has won multiple awards in local NY/NJ shows. He was...
Hello, I am using a Genesis Hovabator 1588 with an egg turner. I have a batch of eggs ready to enter lockdown. In the past I've noticed that when I remove the egg turner and put the eggs on the bottom screen, my thermometer (not the one built into the top, but an additional digital one that I...
I've been skimming/searching this thread and noticed that Golden Cuckoo Marans don't seem to breed true. Just looking at the first post, you can get Salmons, Silver cuckoos, blacks, wheatons marans roos. I only have 1 hen and 8 roos. The roos all look different, but the female (which I have...
I just bought I used copy of the SOP off amazon, definitely a must for me. Thanks.
I'm not saying I would NEVER go to a show, but theres a lot of poultry diseases that stay hidden between flare ups. It could be a very costly mistake. However as ramirez is saying, you meet a lot of experts in...
Looks like their webpage is down. I guess they're out of business.
I ordered 10 Golden Cuckoo Marans chicks. Got 11, one was DOA, no problem. Customer service was alright. However, it turns out all my Cuckoo Marans are male except one. Now I know that they are can be sexed at birth, so I'm...
I haven't scanned through all 644 pages of this thread so I apologize for this is a redundant question. BUT I'm hoping y'all can help me. Why don't people desire the black or splash laced red wyandottes? Is there no market for these chicks? To those who breed them - correct me if my genetics is...
I bought a flock of 11 juveniles last summer. Only seven made it, there was a respiratory illness that swept through the flock. I have 4 females and 3 roos. Once I cull one of the roos, I plan to breed what I have all summer - make as many a I can - while also acquiring an additional line or...
sorry for multiple posts.
Just to be clear, I wouldn't mix corid with ACV in water. But since the feed is fermented with ACV, maybe mixing it in with the feed isn't great (unless I get dry). Thats what I'm trying to say.
I remember someone on a post here saying never mix ACV in the water of corrid, it negates the corrid. But they stated no reason why, I don't know if I buy that....
I've been considering this and maybe thats what I should do. I don't have any non fermented feed right now... don't know if mixing it with fermented feed would be an issue. Since I've learn Corrid is not an antibiotic, i think it would be fine...
Appreciate the chart and handy info casportpony. Since I've seen a VERY gradual improvement, I think I'll continuing dosing and maybe up it as you have reccomended.
Thanks for reminding me about the biology regarding Coccidia. All too often we panic, follow whatever guidance for treatment we...
I noticed bloody mushy stool on the droppings board seven days ago. I started to medicate with 10ml liquid Corid per gallon of water. Today, being the eighth day, I'm seeing LESS bloody stool, but I can tell at least one bird has it. I was planning transitioning over to RACV in the water today...
