    Breed?

This chicken is almost 1 and I would love to know the breed. At first many thought Pepper was a roo, we've never heard crowing but I'm not sure who lays what eggs...I probably should pay better attention to that!

    Dog attack *pictures*

Thanks for all the advice. She did very well overnight and her limp is very much improved. Her wound looks good too. She is acting as if nothing has happened and could not wait to get some treats this morning. She is not happy about being separated from her friends right now, I have a fence...

    Dog attack *pictures*

Thanks, I really went back and forth on how to clean it initially...saw a post say 50/50 peroxide was good to use ONCE after a dog bite due to their dirty mouths. Wish I would have posted sooner and waited for a reply but now I know for next time! Yes, my pom did this (and is also in isolation...

    Dog attack *pictures*

*there is a graphic photo below* This is my first time having an injured girl! My Pomeranian got my 4 month buff orp. She seems to be in good spirits despite the attack. She ate and drank a little afterwards. I've cut her remaining feathers back, cleaned her with 50/50 peroxide dilution, warm...

    3 month old chicks

I have two buff orps, a SLW and the last one I'm not sure of. I was told she was an Ancona as a chick but I know that's not the right breed. Any help on gender and also of breed on my black bird would be appreciated!

Pullets or Roos? SLW, Buffs & Ancona

My black chicken, Pepper, has white feathers coming in on the underside of the wings and is more white under the slate. I've wondered if she was really an Ancona or not. As a chick Pepper was white/black and turned all dark by about 4 weeks. I've also included a close up of our SLW.

Pullets or Roos? SLW, Buffs & Ancona

I have 4 chicks and they are about 10 weeks. I have 2 buffs (which I think are hens), a SLW and an Ancona. My Ancona's feathers have a pretty green sheen in the sunlight which was hard to get a picture of. Any opinion on whether I have pullets/roos would be appreciated! ciated!
