Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

Maybe I am not understanding correctly, and if I am not I apologize. His job has always been to protect us and be a watch dog, which he is good at. Besides being a dog that fetches things, that is the only "job" I can think of that he does.

Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

we have 31 acres. The chain he is attached to goes to about 150ft radius.( we have 3 50' cables connected.) He gets plenty of exercise. Which includes ball tossing, frisbees, stick throwing, plus running around with my other dog (at the dog park and at home.) We also have barn cats that run...

Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

I am a stay at home mom of two toddlers and we are constantly outside playing with him, plus when we aren't outside he has my other dog out there with him. We take him to the dog park so he can run with no leash at least twice a week. IDK if there is much more stimulation I can give him.

Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

@Folly's place Thanks Mary, He hasn't been off of his leash since we have put it up. We walk him and then we chain him up where he can reach the fence so he while tied up he can still understand that he can't go pass the beeping. But we did it ourselves, and there was just the info to walk him...

Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

@K9Dave Thanks! We live in northern KY. We have tried training when he was younger cause he would just run and it just never seemed to help. After spending a lot of our time and money, we just gave up cause nothing we did would make him stay near us, he just wants to run. I thought after we...

Any suggestions for a big dog and electric fence?

Good evening everyone! We have a 120lbs black english lab who is 9 years old. For the majority of his life he has either been tied up because he runs away and apparently loves doggy jail, or he has been in a dog kennel. My husband and I both have agreed that we are tired of him being on a...

    One small meanie

@Volcanic Egger thanks. I talked to a friend and she said she knew a place I could take it. I think I'll have to, not friendly with people and not friendly with chicks. :/ I'm sure he won't be the last if we continue on this chicken adventure!

    One small meanie

Gotcha. I will try separating him for a whole week and see how it goes. I don't want to have to rehome, but do not want to have a mean chicken that attacks my loving ones. Thanks for the advice.

    One small meanie

I have 15 chicks and the smallest one is being a terror to my other chicks. He (so I have been told) is 5 weeks old and has been terrorizing my other chicks for the past two weeks. He has made at least 6 of them bleed, and then of course my other chicks attack the ones that are bleeding. I have...

    Hello from chick newbies!

Thanks everyone. @gander007And in the water is just plain water but I have been giving them some hard boiled eggs on the side. There was no apparent reason for the ones death, no marks no where, and it was one of the biggest chicks. But thanks everyone for the advise. Also we have learned...
