    Hi everyone! I recently got a bunch of chicks, and ended up with two accidental roosters. I'm hoping to rehome my SLW cockerel, he's super sweet and was hand raised. I just have far too many boys! I'm located in Southern California, in the LA suburbs (on the border of Ventura County).

    Thanks for the advice! It's only wet food they're picky with, they'll eat any type of dry food, it's weird. And why didn't I think of the shelter?! Duh!

    Cockerel or pullet?

    He/she is hard to catch, especially in my "baby coop" (I haven't put this one and the other pullet in with my big girls yet) so it's kind of hard to see! From what I can see, there's not much of a comb which has me leaning toward pullet but other characteristics make me think cockerel.

    It's kind of hard to see, but I think cockerel, judging by the comb & wattles. But how old is it?
