I'm still new at chicken raising and want to be sure I'm doing the right things...
First some background:
I have 2 "sets" of chickens. The first set (6 red-variety) I got from TSC on March 1st and estimated them at 4 days old. The second set (2 hatched on June 2nd by a co-worker's son) were...
Here's a pic from earlier today. I'm thinking that Sam Witchickie (brown) is a girl. But MegaCluck (black) is still baffling me. I tried looking for Roo signs, but I just don't know what will tell me. No crowing yet (9 weeks old) and not much color in the black.
They are only 9 weeks old so no eggs yet. I don't even know if they are pullets or Roos. They were hatched by my co-worker's son but couldn't keep them so we adopted.

Here are my 9-week old babies. I'm still not sure breed or gender. Someone mentioned Easter Eggers, but does that mean both or just the brown one?

We've got 6 Red Ladies from TSC that we raised from chicks (Rhode Island Reds and New Hampshires). They are now 22 weeks old and have been laying eggs about a month.
