I am happy to report that Matilda is doing much better! We still soak her foot and try to keep it clean because it's not completely healed yet but it has certainly improved:) She still enjoys her foot soaks!
It will help fight off any infection, which I'm sure would eliminate swelling as well. That is usually what they suggest for chickens that show signs of infection. They didn't think she has an infection but suggested it as a precaution. She seems to like the soaks though. I think the warm water...
The vet suggested the iodine/hot water soaks. They checked her all over and said she was fine but to keep an eye on it and if anything changes to let them know. Hopefully between the antibiotic cream and soaks it will get better.

The top of her foot looks fine. We cleaned it up and nothing oozed out at all. We don't have any sharp rocks, they are in a coop with straw bedding. I will have to try looking through with a flashlight to see if anything is in there. I hope it isn't anything serious...she is such a sweetie.
