I’m seeing this color and consistency poop from a few of my chickens. They are on a layer feed with occasional scratch. They have clean water numerous times a day and also get electrolytes and probiotics. None of the chickens that expel this color are lethargic or seem sick.
I have a duckling that just hatched today at 7am. Is this a sign of an issue: It has difficulty holding its head up and obviously can’t walk yet. I would appreciate any help if anyone has it.
Can anyone who has Welsh Harlequin's help me determine the gender on this duckling? Info on the internet says you can somewhat (70-90%) determine the sex by the bill color. This duckling is probably 6 days old and has a dark grey bill leading me to believe its a male. I tried sexting it but...
I hope that anyone who owns a Brinsea II Advanced could please help me with anything that I need to know so that I can incubate a VERY important duck egg. Everything I read about this unit says its a "set it and forget it" model. Is there anything that the manual does not include that I need to...
3 year old duck has only been pooping this white milky stuff for the past 1/2 day. Have not seen any sign of normal poop since. Is this a sign of something internal and potentially serious?
She hasn't had an appetite since this morning.
Drinking normally.
Excessive tail feather movement.
Has...
Our nearly 6 year old Pekin Drake has been limping for about 2 weeks now. Our first thought was that he simply strained his leg but now I'm suspecting there is a larger issue. He is eating and pooping normally however it seems like his behavior has changed. He is not interacting as his usual...
A 2.5 year old Rhode Island Red hen is acting as though she is egg bound. Losing balance, squeezing motion from the vent, over active tail feather waving, etc. We have experienced this before with another in the flock and successfully extracted the yolk and shell and the hen lived. In this new...
Not sure what's going on with this chicken. It squints all the time and not because its tired. In addition to the squinting it acts like its drinking even when it's not. We've taken good care of it by keeping the eyes flushed and giving it nutritional supplements. Does anyone have any insight?
Has anyone had their entire flock sick at the same time? Currently all of our chickens are isolated in our garage in a playpen because they are sneezing and showing signs of suffering from a sinus infection. Our vet said that this can be common in chickens and that it is something that has to...
I know there have been numerous posts on hens being egg bound. In this specific case our 2 year old Rhode Island Red hen has been trying to pass an egg since this morning. We've let her soak in Epsom salt for 30 minutes (twice), given her Nutradrench (calcium) and have massaged the vent with...
I've been curious if we are in the "average" for spoiled duck health care. From gauze wrapping, antibiotics, foot spray/soak, vitamins, electrolytes, etc. Is this pretty typical for over-the-top duck care?
