Chicken standing about, neck tucked in, butt poked out.

So today, spending some quality time with the chickens. One purring nicely in the corner, I notice another not her normal, feisty self. A lot of just standing there. Not doing anything. Neck tucked in, and kinda pushing her backside out. Very unusual and never seen before. Threw some corn, the...

    is this survivable? (gross image)

Appreciate the quick response, it might not be clear from the image but its very deep. I appreciate not much muscle but the skin is completely gone and underlying structures visible (ie looks like tissues intact around the spine)

    first time hatching: buff orpingtons

So following introduction thread I thought I'd throw one up about my attempt at hatching. 6 eggs bought from eBay in a brinsea mini eco, 3 fertilised. Of those, one became a stankegg and was thrown. Last two in lockdown, woke up today and was chirping and peeping and now I have a lovely little...

    First time bird dad.

Hey there, first post from Bristol, UK. Two hybrids currently in an omlet go, 2 buff Orpington eggs in lockdown: rocking and rolling and ready to go. Joined because chicks are a no thing and the hybrids have taken a recent move quite badly, seem to give this sad lament till I let them out the...
