S/he is 9 weeks old. Super skidish and doesn't seem to be a Roo. Any guesses? Her comb is dark brown/black and isn't big at all. Please say it's a pullet my silkie needs a friend!
Thank you everyone. It would be great if they were. I originally had 9 and now down to just these 2 lovelies after a hawk decimated my flock. It took noneffect of my boys. I now have 3 bantam boys,1 easter egger roo, 2 silkies and then these 2 lavenders. :(

Red comb, red waddles and feathers curl at the back.
Evie
She's 2 days older (hopefully) she. Paler comb, she is larger and rounded back feathers.

Thank you for looking. I will be happy with just 2 pullets. I hope #5 Rusty is a pullet. He is by far the prettiest but his comb throws me off. Let me find a picture.
So I have 5 white silkie mixes
2 BR roo/white silkie hen
3 Buff/white silkie possible
The BR chicks seem obvious. 1 pullet 1 roo. Due to size and comb
The other 3 smaller more chestnut chicks are harder
Here is 4 of the 5. What do you think about the 2 brown chicks? Both are roughly the...
I figured.Broody silkies hatched 18 healthy EE's and at around 12 weeks we lost 2 to trampling, 6 to predators and slowly the last 10 over the next few weeks to coidosis. I have treated all birds, all coops have been sanitized and new bedding put in. Unfortunately they free range on an acre...
My boys Eggs and Linus are 20 weeks. No crowing, very passive but with their combs being bulbous I always assumed roosters until a friend said hers looked very similar and they ended up being hens.
I lost all my EE girls to sickness so I lost hope.
Anyone want to set me straight? Boys...
6 weeks ago my white silkies hatched their babies! The dad's were barred rock, Buff Orpington and something similar to a barred rock. All came with 5 toes and feathered legs! They are finally starting to feather out and are wonderfully sweet! Hoping that at least 3 are pullets!
I just picked up my first Lavender Orp. chicks. They breeder didn't give me definite ages but 2 weeks to 4 days was the range. I am hoping to have lots of hens as I've lost a few to predators and sickness.
Second largest chick non clue on age
Larger chick and the sweetest. No clue how to...
Please tell me my favorite is a hen! She's 9 weeks old and wonderful. It's isn't red at all like her brother's but it isn't as small as some of the others.
Lillup here is a lap chicken. Every time I step outside she wants up and to be on my lap sleeping.
It's hatch day and my Silkie and I can't contain ourselves!
Unfortunately I came home to this
There is what looks like a tiny pip area the. The big ol' crack
Does she stand a chance? Hoping it wasn't mama hem that did it. The egg doesn't smell and I can't hear anything.
