I have a chicken that is just over a year old that has recently started laying soft eggs. Today I found her in the corner of the barn bleeding, with what may be a prolapsed vent (although I have never seen one before). I have her in a tub of warm water now. Please, help, what should I do??

Thanks! Yes, she is fluffy, and is a real sweety, too. Poor girl gets carried around all the time by my 4 year old, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Here's the rest of the gang. I aquired three more chicks along the way and were told that they are also female...My fingers are crossed!!!
The last two are the remainer of the original 6 (that were suppose to be girls!).

This GLW is really nice...
Are either of these a roo?? I've heard crowing the last few mornings, but I thought I only had girls!! They are almost 5 months old and no eggs yet (or from the others who are the same age and look more pullet-ish then these two).
Please tell me I have a talented girl who can crow!
Now the snake is gone and I have no idea where it is. My poor chicks would hate me if I brought them back inside. It's been raining here for days and they were so happy to go out this afternoon.
That's funny!
I was hoping for some nice trick to get it away that didn't involve me touching it!!
I tried to shoot it with a b.b. gun but only had 1 pellet. I can't find the extra b.b.'s.
A black rat snake is in the tree stalking a cardinal's nest. I've tried to knock it with the broom but it just moves up the tree. My 6 week old chicks and 4 week old guinea's are in small pens about a hundred yard away. What should I do? Will the snake get my chicks? How do I get rid of it...
The top one is the most outgoing and dominant of the whole bunch. She/he has also been making sounds in the morning that could possibly be a crow in the early stages.
They are both 6 weeks old.
