I'm so glad that all you can help me. I am using the push in style nipples with grommets. Can I mount these into vinyl tubing or does it have to be pvc?

would it be better to use a different substance for the floor such as plywood? If I were to use plywood floors I would have to clean them out. I am going to make sure they have plenty of room in each cage.
I was also considering building these on the other Wall of the coop. If I did that than there would b one hen per cage. would that b better? What size of hardware cloth should I use for the flooring?

I am currently living in Iowa. I have laying and breeding cages in my coop that are watered with pvc and nipples. I am having trouble keeping them thawed. Currently have an air heater in the coop but that is not enough. Any suggestions?
