Coyote Attacks! What should I do?

Coyotes are really bad here. I have super barking dogs and that helps. A lot of the cattle farmers will get a donkey. I guess either a donkey will fight or the coyotes hate them. I want one so bad.

How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I feel like I'm going to have my hands full with her. A week ago I thought a hawk got her. I couldn't find her anywhere. She was probably under that stupid ramp trying to hatch her 20someodd unfertilized eggs. For a whole day I thought she was gone. Told the kids and all. Next day she was back...

First two eggs!!!! But I don't know if they were yesterday's or today's

I don't wash. If there is any solid debris I sorta pick it off. I've never gotten one really gross. I don't wash or refrigerate. At all. I am so loath to loose all those ones I found today I think I'm going to do the float/sink test. If they do sink I think I'm gonna eat them. I know it...

Why do baby chicks ride on their mother's back?

    1. I require many photos of this babies riding on the mother's back. I had no idea. 2. This is so important. 3. Random chicken raising up a brood under your car and now they run wild at your place is the BEST story ever.

Look at this mess. (Hiding eggs)

This is my third flock. My first flock all laid in the box and were normal. Second all turned out to be roosters. Every. Single. One. This flock lays wherever they want. I have fancy next box bedding, I have fake eggs. I have boxes at different heights. They don't care. They are fairly regular...

First two eggs!!!! But I don't know if they were yesterday's or today's

You can for sure eat them. I eat yesterday's eggs all the time. I also don't refrigerate them. (for fun look at my post, I just found 27 eggs from my one EE that I had missed the spot she was laying. I won't be eating eggs that were outdoors for a month, but sheesh!) Do you have small...

Look at this mess. (Hiding eggs)

My chickens are just starting to lay. It's going well, not everyone is laying yet, but I'm getting a steady 2-3 eggs a day. I'm okay with that. I did wonder when my ONE EE was going to start laying, but it's really hot here so I didn't worry. Today I found one lone green egg in the run. How...

they look a little pointed. :( It's been so long sense I've had a hen I don't even remember. He's less rooster-ish than all the others so I hoped. *cries forever*

Tell me this one isn't a rooster too??

So to follow up. Is it the super tall comb, plus the fantastic tail feathers? Should I get pics of the ONE I still think is a hen?

Tell me this one isn't a rooster too??

You guys helped confirm my suspicions that five of my seven "pullets" were roos... but today I suddenly suspected one I didn't even ask you about. What do you think of this one? see the super tall comb and the fancy tail feathers? Also he/she is aggressive. :( I want some daggone eggs!
