    Roosters starting to crow

That's what I was thinking. The lavender is 14 weeks but the 18 week old darker one, I got as a day old, I got 9 of them, and I had one other of the 9, that I could tell at 5 weeks was a rooster. This one took longer.

    Roosters starting to crow

I will get pictures soon, the 14 week old is pure lavender, no other coloring on it anywhere so it's hard for me to tell, the other one does have some green feathers around the neck, but the comb looks the same as my hens, they are all the same size, combs are the same, but the only thing That I...

    Roosters starting to crow

I have Easter Eggers, and I'm am quite certain I have 2 roosters, one is 18 weeks and the other is 14 weeks old, but neither of them have started crowing yet. At what age, do Easter egger roosters start to crow?? Or is there any definitive way to tell if they are in fact roosters? One is pure...

Don't know what breed or gender you have? Click here!

I'm thinking the lavender EE is a hen, but I'm unsure of the 2 marans (they were sold to me as Wheaton marans) but I'm unsure of the sex. Any help is appreciated!

    Is it possible?

I am 100% sure of my breeds. And it is every other day, and the eggs are the purest of white. Like I said the only white egg layer that is of age is my Hamburg. The only other two white egg layers are my leghorns that are 10 weeks old.

    Is it possible?

My girls have me stumped. I have a mixed flock of mostly brown egg layers, except for one speckled Hamburg, and 2, 10 week old white leghorns. (Buffs, barred rocks, and reds all laying brown eggs) every other day I am getting 2 white eggs a day. One always a bit smaller than the other. How is...

    The Silver Laced Wyandotte Thread

Looking for personal experiences. I have a flock of large egg layers and wanted to add some SLW to my flock, the few people that I have spoken with have said that they are excellent layers of jumbo eggs. Is this the case for you all as well? Can you show me pictures of your SLW eggs? And tell me...

Thanks! I have got some barred rocks, red sex links, a silkie, and a bantam Cochins all laying so far! So exciting! I have just added 3 seabrights to my flock! As well as one Hamburg as well! Can't wait to find more eggs out there!

    Help with sexing if possible

Yeah I'm quite certain it is. The other one has similar features, and I have one other that I wasn't able to get a picture of one that looks like the first one.

    Help with sexing if possible

What do we think? Hens or Roos? My guess is too on both, their combs are both very red, and also, they are much bigger than the others, and color patterns in the feathers are much different! They are about 4-5 weeks old.

Breed and when they started laying?

Great, I still have a while to wait yet, but I'm so excited! I have had chickens before but it has been a while, and the point of waiting for them to lay the first egg is the worst. Hoping the sex links and leghorns will start early to make up for the long wait for the others! Lol thanks for...

Breed and when they started laying?

I have a pretty mixed flock. EE, Wyandotte, maran, barred rock, white leghorn, buff, black sex link, and brahma. I'm curious as to when your hens of these breeds started laying, at what age? Thanks in advance!
