    Does anyone eat Peahen eggs?

Wow, sure glad you told me that news! I had no idea they would lay that many eggs or to leave them and maybe they would stop. At least the two girls stopped acting like a male and female at mating time. I saw a little hole starting to be dug in the sand of the stall but the eggs have just been...

    Does anyone eat Peahen eggs?

My two females have laid three eggs on the floor of the stall-no males in their pen- on three different days. Do people eat them? They are large, wondered if I could boil them and give to the dogs?

Female acting like a male to other hen

I adopted two peahens from the Humane Society two weeks ago, they seem to be enjoying their new home(large area behind the barn with bird netting coming down from roof ). Yesterday one laid an egg in their night stall, one hen displayed her tail and began acting like a male. Today she acted...

    Female ducks wanted

I would have to keep the drake locked up in a stall all day. Most of the time he has been with his mate and usually goes off on their own-they have two acres to graze, except when he suddenly decides to go to where the chickens are pecking which isn't every day . I will check the mentioned...

    Female ducks wanted

Does anyone have a couple female domestic ducks they want to re home? My drake keeps mating the chicken hens and can hurt them. He only has one female and am told he needs more females. Have a free range farm and protection at night in the barn. If interested I live in Vero.

My drake duck is mating my chicken hens

Thanks for that info, one friend said he needed more females also. I really wasn't planing on more ducks but don't want to re home these unless I find a really great place for them-they are a bonded pair (at least they seem like it) one doesn't move without the other.

My drake duck is mating my chicken hens

He has one female for himself and ten chicken hens who do not like him mating! My one rooster runs him off if he is close enough. What's up with this? They are all free range in the day and secure in separate stalls at night. **edited by Staff**

6 month old pair laying eggs in nest, is this normal?

They are not sitting on them, one every day. I'm new to this so any information would be appreciated. Only have these two birds, raised together from babies and very bonded. Stay in a stall at night so no harm comes to them, free range in the day with the chickens.

That is so perfect, love the name also. It's great to see other people's pens for ducks so we can get ideas of what works and what doesn't. Thanks.

Hi all you runner duck owners. I got two cute babies that are now five or six weeks old. I keep them in one of the stalls, at night in a snake proof cage also. They are so wild , what can I do to tame them a little? I try to hand feed, no deal. When I have to put them inside the cage at night...

    color of ducks bill

Hi everyone, it's been too long since I had baby ducks so I'll throw out an easy question for the "pro's"-one baby-3 weeks old approx.- has a black bill the other one is yellow or the same color as the duck. Does this mean one is male and the other is female? I don't know what breed they are as...
