Our duck still isn't laying "normally"... she has laid 1 or 2 eggs but still soft. She has been on the oyster shell about 2 weeks now. We have been putting the oyster shell in her food. A small mix in each day. Before recently, she had been laying about 1 1/2 months, 1 every single day...

for those whose ducks have pools of some sort rather than the luxury of a lake or pond LOL do you just dump it out every single day? the water gets gross and I even have to scrub the pool itself down like every 3 - 4 days. what do you do ?

gosh, we had this problem with our Pekin... we had never had ducks of any kind and we joked that we raised her all wrong. we "trained" her with food like a dog LOL we made ice cubes for her with corn and peas. first gave her the corn and peas outside of the swimming pool for a few days...

me too! we have 2 friends who also have chickens and other small animals... and we tried to pawn them off on them LOL but it didn't work. I wish we had a lot more land and no neighbors so we could keep atleast one of them... one of our pullets and this cockrel are connected at the hip. it...

this is what we thought.... how frustrating that out of our 6, we got 3 roosters. we are going to try to get rid of them tomorrow at a small animal auction. not sure how that works, but I guess we will find out. thank you!!

we bought 6 back a month or so ago... we think only 3 are pullets. I'm totally bummed about it. we don' want to keep any roosters.... what do you all do with them? farm and garden on craigslist or what?
