Pullets or Roos? (Not allowed to have Roos)

3 chicks, the white(ish) one is EE. I think pullet. The black(ish) one was marked as Arucana (Easter egg pullet). I think Roo. The last one is Blue laced red wyandottle. I'm leaning towards Roo. They are all 4 weeks.

One of my girls laid this little white egg today. It wasn't in the nesting box, but rather in a hole she dug by the food.

Sadly... Its almost that time of year to start thinking about heating the water.. cant decide how to

Yes they are vertical. Do the horizontally installed ones leak less? I found some for fairly in expensive, went ahead and ordered. Can't hurt to try! Even after a quick glance, they seem to get better reviews!

    Chicken swing

I just put in a tree stump/roots that we pulled out of our front yard. Figured it'll give them something to investigate/play on until we get rid of it. I'm hoping it'll get them closer to the swing and more interested in it. I'm just glad I didn't spend $30 on it. I used extra materials...

    Not sure what breeds

Makes sense. Both the leghorns are similar in that they will do anything possible to avoid being caught. Both are very curious and the first to get into new things in the coop/run. I was hoping it wasn't the black sex link, I've read they're kinda nasty. She doesn't seem too bad though...
