    I have a sand/dirt mix in my run and it works really well. when it rain it stays wet for a day but it doesn't get muddy. And for the most part it stays off the chickens. Plus they can eat it for grit.

    I would have got turkens because they look funny and are good layers but they didn't have them at their hatchery
