    Bleeding from their behind

Thanks will try that. We didn't raise these and that's what they were eating. We had just discussed giving them starter. The decon is well out of their reach. They can't get to it. Thanks so much for your knowledge. I have some experience but not a lot. Started with chickens in 2014.

    Bleeding from their behind

We put pellets in but they eat the corn and hardly eat the pellets. No evidence of rat poo.

    Bleeding from their behind

We've been mixing protein with just a little chops. We put decon in the rafters on top. The pen and coop together is about 12x20. Only have 10 left. We had 16.

    Bleeding from their behind

We are losing 3 to 4 month old chickens every day. They seem fine one day and then they're dead. Every one of them have their bums eat out. Sorry if that's not appropriate but it's what's happening. Never had it happen before. Anyone know?

    Chicken Sexing

Can anyone tell the breed of these. I bought olive eggers from the cackle hatchery but not sure if these are the ones. I have others that I hatched around the same time. The ones I bought were black ameraucanas mixed with welsummer they said. Been going bonkers trying to figure this out. They...

Integrating chicks into flock at 4 weeks old.

I am having an issue with getting my new chicks to go inside the chicken house. They want to sleep out in the run. How can I get them to go in the chicken house when the older hens run them out when they try to go in?

    Concerned

Kinda like the first one, but it is a dark color now like it's drying up. It bled a little at first but then now it just hangs there. Doesn't seem to bother her tho. Hoping it falls off. Thanks for the pics!!

Thank you!!! I'm still learning about this picture thing. I've examined further on the chick, now that she is a bit bigger I can see it is for sure attached to the belly. I'm thinking it's the cord hasn't come off right. She was the last one to hatch and was a couple days late. I have her by...

Hopefully this works. Miss717 I'm not thinking its Marek's because the other six are all fine. I'm hoping it isn't that. And thanks for the pic info, still learning this site. :wee

    Concerned

I have a baby chick born with a ball type thing which appears to be attached to his lower stomach just above where she poos. Another of my hatches had a similar thing but it finally went away. This one seems bigger. Any ideas?
