    I'm sure they will have plenty of room. The run will be a decent size and the coop is plenty big for 4 hens.

    Good, that was a little bit of a concern. Well, I am super excited and hate that we have to wait till September. I have the coop about 70% done, started a mealworm colony to hopefully win their favor, and have already spoke with the individual I will purchase from. Now to the waiting.

    I appreciate all the feedback. I think now maybe the tentative breeds to start with is the Easter Egger, Orpingtons and may go with a Black Australorps and hope she isnt that rowdy. What are the odds of these breeds getting along well together, or do most tend to be ok with other breeds?

    Thank you all for the kind welcome! The wife for sure wants an Easter Egger, but besides that I am not sure what else yet. We want some good producers that are on the quiet side so we don't annoy the new neighbors right off the bat! Any suggestions would be more than welcome.

Me and the wife are finally getting a house and out of apartments and a flock will be one of our first additions to the new home. Looking forward to...
