Question: my Sicilian Buttercup is 7 months old. When she was a little chickie she got coccidiosis, but we were able to save her. Is it possible that could have made her unable to lay? Or am I just impatient?! ;)

The roosting bar is higher than the nesting boxes. I wonder if they don't like the size of it. I will try to block off thier nesting box this weekend and see if it helps.

So I have 5 chickens...all about 7 months old. We have a roosting bar that is about 4 ft long and is thick as a railing. The chickens are sleeping in thier nesting box! I tried a few times to place them on the bar but they keep going back to the nesting boxes (4 sleep in 1!). Any suggestions...

Hello! I am new to raising chickens. I have 5 chickies who are about 3 months old. I pretty sure they are roosting on a low roost (about 5 inches off the ground) but will they know to roost on the taller bar? Do I need to show them how? Thanks!
