    Yes the membrane is punctured. Iv checked the egg this am and the chick is peeping so I will leave it in the incubator. Luckily it was fast enough along.

    Hi everyone, My polish cannot stand on her left leg. It looks like it could be dislocated/ broken. Should I try twisting it into place? We do not have a poultry very by us. She is eating and drinking. I have her 1/2 baby aspirin and 1/4 tab of B1.[/IMG]

    I provide a dish if food and water in her coop. I too will feed her what the babies eat. I have owned chicks for 3 years and never feed them oyster shells. U can also give the hens the chicken shells after using the egg

    My broody hen watched the babies hatch one by one and still sat on the eggs for a full week until skill were hatched. She did get up and help the new babies at the same time

    Hi, I took pics of 2 babies that have hatched. Can anyone provide detailed information if you comment as to why you think one is that gender and the other is that gender. First pic of the red - I say a boy because of the red on the beak and the tail feathers.

    my understand is you need to clean it as it will develop a bacteria and could harm the other eggs.
