    Temperature for bringing chicks outside

    Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the lower 80s, and I was wondering if I could bring my chicks outside for a mini field trip just to look around. They are about 1 and a half weeks old and have a lot of their feathers either in or growing in. Thanks!

    Speckled Sussex are very beautiful birds, and Welsummers lay VERY dark brown eggs.

    You should defiantly get some Speckled Sussex. If you are looking for layers, I would definitely recommend Leghorns. I've never had one, but I think they lay and average of 300 eggs per year. Partridge Cochins are also good layers and are very pretty. Welsummers are also cool because you can...
