I wanted to get some turkeys to add to my flock but I have read chickens can transmit blackhead(a type of parasite) to turkeys and can kill them. I have seen many farm and backyard flocks with different poultry, I am wondering if anyone has had experience with raising different types of birds...
Opening didn't kill them, I turn mine by hand twice a day. How did you turn them, do you have a fan in the incubator, did you have enough water for the humidity.
I just got finished hatching 15, got one egg left to see if anything happens by tomorrow morning. 15 out of 19 is great. They are all from my flock which I've had since last February.
4 roosters got only 10 hens at breeding age, others won't be ready for a couple months, got 40 chickens all together, may have more rooster when 3 month olds get bigger, don't know how to tell now. My coup is a 30by10 foot run with a 10 by 10 coup. Just bought smaller coup to separate hens
