This bird has the dainty feet of a pullet, doesn't crow, smaller and not as red wattle and comb as the rooster, longer tail like a roo, I'm confused! What is this bird?!
The lady I bought these 2 from doesn't know what breed they are and thought they were pullets. I'm pretty sure they're both cockrels but not sure of the breed. Thanks!

We have 8 poults that we got from the feed store, 1 bb bronze (was supposed to be a Narragansett), 3 Narragansett, 2 midget whites, a slate and a chocolate. I am sure the bronze and the Narragansetts and one of the white are jakes. My question is, when can you really be sure other than laying...
I have a 2.5 week old poult that isn't growing like the rest of my little flock. It's very lethargic like a new poult. I do see it eat, drink and poop. The rest don't pick on it and I have 2 feeders and 2 waterers so there is always room for it to eat or drink. The other 9 are growing like weeds...
I accidentally posted on the wrong page for this little gal. Can anyone tell me if she is a cochin? I brought home 5 aracaunas(probably just EES but I don't care) and what I thought were 5 cuckoo marans. When I was putting them in the brooder I noticed her feathered legs. Thanks!

I grabbed what I thought were 5 cuckoo marans and when I got home, this gal was in the box. I think she is a cochin, I'm just not sure. Thanks all!

I have a couple suet feeders that the woodpeckers ignore and several cakes with seed mixed in. I don't see why they wouldn't eat it but has anyone else gave them to their chickens? I figure with the colder weather the fat would help them calorie wise and staying warmer at night. Thanks!
I've seen all 4 of these red pullets and now Meathead the rooster, doing this. Is it just a way of cooling off? What i don't get though is that they will lay in the sun like this. My one real dark red henmakes me laugh, she will stretch her wing and leg out and flops on her side

Hi everyone! I got a couple more pictures. I was told they were sexed and they should be pullets but i KNOW i have at least 1 roo out of the 10, he is goofy looking from his feathers growing in all patchy and his comb is pretty big and red for 4-5 wk olds. Could anyone guess as to what these few...
