@Miss Lydia When we rescued him three years ago, he had fishing line wrapped around his leg. The fishing line was cutting into his leg almost down to the bone. We rehabilitated him but now his leg is permanently damaged but he can still walk.
@casportpony He is overweight, in my opinion. Because of his lame leg, he is inactive. Despite his leg he can walk, swim, and flap his wings. He has a voracious appetite as most ducks do. Are you saying that a weight increase would mean something more serious, or a decrease?
@casportpony No, there is no fluid that oozes. We may try manuka oil, it's an all natural anti fungal. Also this suggestion: "very carefully clean the bill with something like Vetericyn Wound Wash and apply a thin coat of Neosporin without pain reliever"
