The fourth Roo's Foot bottoms are whitish, except the outer feathered toe is grey/black. So Maran then? Is "French copper black" just a colour variation or specific breed? And both the solid grey and white/black speckled are Andalusian colours? What is the proper name for their colouring?

The bottom Roo by himself actually has black legs with feathering down the outside, and his back and tail are black with green sheen, with dark copper head (He's gorgeous but doesn't photograph well). Ideas?

Rookie mistake: I put 6 eggs each of OE, EE, Buff Orpington, Andalusian, BC Maran and Ameraucana in the incubator. Then they hatched and I have no clue who is who bc of the mix breeds. Any help would be appreciated so I can sell these Roos. [/IMG]

All home safe and sound. Apparently three were able to fly into my barn (where a weasel has taken up residence, from the pot into the fire so to speak, but they survived) and the forth appeared after dusk from deep in the forest! Tomorrow the run is getting a wire roof! Any other suggestions?

I just chased off a hawk from my (uncovered) chicks run and all 4 month old chicks are terrorized but accounted for. Now I can't find my 4 free ranging old hens anywhere! They are usually very social and come when called. Do Hawks keep coming back for more (ie all my hens are gone) Or are the...
