Does this look like Marek's to you? Photos!

I was treating with liquid Corid-the max dose...the 2 tablespoons per 1 gallon and all the other pullets were saved. I'm taking a week break in between then am going to do another round of treatment as suggested on the chicken chick website. I just added Rooster Booster liquid cell and...

Does this look like Marek's to you? Photos!

I also forgot to add that they could have been exposed to Mareks from the wild birds being able to get into the coop. I'm adding wire cloth higher up to get rid of this issue entirely. I don't know if I should keep the 2.5 week old chicks completely separate from the older chicks, or...

Does this look like Marek's to you? Photos!

About 8 days ago I lost 3 pullets to coccidiosis (all hatched April 1st...bought them from Mypetchicken.com, not vaccinated). I kept them in a different building and brooder away from my older girls (7 hens all over 1 year old) until they were 4 weeks old. Then I moved them into the coop but...

3 days and three pullers dead each morning-help!

I have treated for coccidiosis with the Corid, we are on day 5 today. I was planning on doing the one treatment, wait a week in between and then another round of treatment per the Chicken Chick suggests on her website. I've had no other deaths and all the 9 pullets are eating and drinking...

3 days and three pullers dead each morning-help!

I have 12 pullers that are all almost 3 months old. 4 days ago I gave two Polish away to a friend. The next day one Polish is dead (out of my flock). I figured maybe it was a freak thing or it was sad it no longer had one of its "friends", plus I read that polish can drop dead at any time...

You know you love your chickens when...

When you're a bad-*** Trauma ER Nurse in one of the biggest Emergency Rooms in the nation and all you can think of is a day off relaxing by "watching/being with" your chickens. I swear, it's a calming/relaxing therapy for me...and I'm sure many others feel the same!

Sexing silkie/cochin/RIR 8-9 weeks old- pictures!

Thank you SO much for all your help! I was SO worried about buying unsexed chicks, but I guess I won the "pullet" lottery so to speak. I know the silkies are hard to sex...I'll be patient. And by them not having much of a personality (the silkies), they were that way before they got their...

Sexing silkie/cochin/RIR 8-9 weeks old- pictures!

They are all 8 or 9 weeks old. Any help would be appreciated. The Rhode Island Red is for sure the "boss"...so I would guess she would be female? The cochin does test her from time to time though. The silkies are just kinda "there"...no real personality at this point.

    Egyptian Fayoumis Thread!

I have one and she's sweet but flighty. And man can she swallow HUGE pieces of food. None of my other chickens can eat the same bites she can! I guess she's just a pig!

    Sexing silkie/cochin chicks- pictures!

I just bought some chicks from a very well known breeder and unfortunately he sells straight runs only, with no money back offers. Anyways, I was seeing if it's too early to try and find out what my two silkies are. The black one isn't too friendly, doesn't like being held (tries to fly away...
